To be inspired is great, but to inspire is incredible.
Mentor Bios
Sean - This is my third year as Mentor and first year as co-coach. I’m a building structural designer and enjoy tinkering with tools, electronics, computers, and all that fun stuff. I’m learning just as much as the kids with robotics. I might possibly be having more fun than them mentoring with the build team.
Eric - This season will be my fourth season with the Blown Fuses, First Robotics. I am a Computer Engineer. My hobbies include building electronics projects, coding, and camping. I look forward to working with the coding team again this year.
Jerry - This my fourth season with First Robotics. I am a Computer Engineer. My hobbies include building electronics, coding, and fixing things. As a computer geek I look forward to working with the build, controls, and coding team.
Jeff -I like working with students to learn new skills and improve the skills that they already have. I have been helping robotics teams since 2012. I work in the Vehicle Safety section of General Motors. I think that the coolest part of the Blown Fuses robot is that the students fabricate most of the pieces for it.
Krista - This is my second year involved with the robotics team. I’ve worked in the advertising industry for over 20 years and have virtually no skills that transfer over to this team. I have enjoyed learning right along with the kids and love pitching in wherever I can.
Vince - This is my second year with the Blown Fuses. I enjoyed working with my son Jack and getting to know his friends better building the robot this year. We worked in cad and 3D printing for the omni wheels, battery holder and shooter.
Jeff - This is my second year with the robotics team. It has been a huge and fun learning experience. I come from an advertising background so I try to infuse as much creativity with the technology as I can.
